Abstract

In a live load composite girder, dead loads are resisted by only the steel girder section and live loads are resisted by the composite section after the concrete slab is combined with the steel girder. Therefore, in order to clarify the behavior of the composite girder depending on the loading history of dead loads adequately, it is required to consider the stress of the steel section under the dead loads as the initial stress. In this research, we propose the method to consider the stress of the steel section under the dead loads adequately and to analyze the subsequent behavior of the composite girder under the live loads. As a example, the behavior of the continuous composite girder is analyzed by using the RBSM analysis comparing the effect of the loading history of the dead and live loads.
