Study on sectional force and deformation of mixed structural beam with steel truss and PC

In the design of a mixed structure bridge comprising a steel truss and a PC girder, it is necessary to consider the force transmission mechanism at the steel-concrete joint and the overall deformation of the bridge. These have been examined by the bending tests on the model of the mixed structural beam. We proposed a frame model based on the test results to calculate the camber and the overall defomation of the full-scale bridge.
