Abstract

In order to quantify the dynamic characteristics of truss bridges under high speed train passege, this study analysed the modal contributions of truss bridge based on dynamic interaction analysis. The analyses revealed that the first global bending mode and global horizontal modes mainly contributed to the static response of the truss bridge. In addition, deflection modes and floor systems vibration modes are predominant to the dynamic response. The floor systems vibration modes have less contribution to 100m truss bridge because of its more rigid main members than 60m truss bridge.
