A scissors-type bridge that applies a deployable scissors mechanism to its structural form has been developed to support emergency restorations after disasters. In previous studies, the fundamental static test was performed using the experimental pedestrian bridge, and its simplified calculation method was identified based on the beam approximation model. As a continuous study, the hammering test and numerical simulation were conducted to make clear the dynamic characteristics of the scissors-type bridges using experimental pedestrian bridge focusing on the deployment angles and boundary conditions. Then, we applied the beam approximation model to estimate the natural frequencies of the scissors-type bridge as well. The estimation results showed their validity and range of applications compared with experimental and numerical values to determine.
