Abstract
The patient was a female in 30s with a complaint of upper abdominal pain. Dynamic CT showed a heterogeneous solid tumor (37mm in diameter) with calcification in the pancreas head. Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) revealed a well marginated, high echoic mass, that was hypovascular in the arterial phase and isovascular in the venous phase, delineated by contrast enhanced EUS. The results of both EUS guided fine-needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) and pathology of the resected specimen revealed pancreatoblastoma. EUS-FNA is essential for the diagnosis of this rare pancreatic tumor with high grade malignancy.
