Abstract
A case of abdominoperineal excision with perineal continent colostomy and continent appendicocecostomy with antegrade enema is presented. The technique and 21-month follow-up are described. For antegrade enema, 1.5 L of tap water was used using an infusion system with a 10 F Foley catheter. This procedure was performed in a sitting position on a regular toilet, and 40 to 80 min were required. The success for 48-hour continence and the patient's comfort justify its use in selected patients.
