Abstract
The apparent density of comon salt were determined by weighing the sample in the brass cylinder of definite volume.
The effects on apparent density of manufacturing methods,moisture content,particle size and shape were discussed.Apparent density-moisture curves were explained by particle orientation.
At the certain moisture content,thixotropy-like phenomenon was observed.
