Abstract
At the “Matsuzaki” salt field the auther surveyed the level of the field and determined the soluble constituents of ground water and soils. the results are summarized as follow.
1. The Y. P. of this salt field is 85 cm, higher than normal.
2. The difference of level between North and South is comparatively great.
3. Water containing none of salt is invading under the ground from South-West to the center of this field.
4. Sea water which penetrate under the dyke does not affect at the distance far from the center of the field.
5. The construction of the ground consists of 3 layers, the 1st the-surface the 2nd the oxidized and the 3 rd the natural layer.
6. The local difference of the sa/t contents of the ground soils did not exist and the rapid decrease of salt content with the deepth was observed at the center area.
