Abstract
The adsorption of boron in aqueous solutions on poly (vinyl alcohol)(PVA) was examined by abatch method. The adsorptive capacity for B increased with increasing the pH value, and itsdependence on B concentration under constant pH values was well correlated by Freundlich-typeadsorption isotherm. The B uptake decreased with increasing the temperature. The selective adsorption of B from the brine (GUERRERO NEGRO, MEXICO) on PVA was confirmed.
