Abstract
 Infiuence of (%MgO) and (%T.Fe) in slag for varlous temperatures ranging from 1550° to 1800℃ on wear rate of Al2O3-C brick was studied in order to apply to post combustion zone of  in-bath smelting reduction furnace.  It resulted that the wear rate was more affected by (%T.Fe) than (%MgO) in slag at each temperature.  Wear rate equation of Al2O3-C brick was led out to consider not only elution of Al2O3 clinker into slag but also oxidation and decarburization of matrix under high temperature and oxidation atmosphere.
