Plume rises from four various scale plant were observed.
As the results of comparision with observed plume rises and calculated ones from various formula, it was obtained that Priestley's formula showed the features of observed plume rise.
Still for obtaining more agree ment with observed and calculated values, experimental plume rise equation based on Priestley's formula was obtained for neutral stability condition.
Z=AQu-ξ
Where A is proportional constant, and Q the heat emission from stack, the function of heat emission ξgiven by ξ=1/4 (2m+3), where m is m=2.7Q-0.6.
