An evaluation of personal authentication methods in biometrics

Abstract

In general, the magnetic card, IC card, and the password, etc. are used as a method of specifying the individual. However, the biometric attestation technology that is specific and identifies the individual by the concern's for the information security rising, and using person in question's biological characteristic is paid to attention under the network environment. The feature of the biometric attestation technology is clarified, and it reports on the result of making comparative study of the utility about a typical certification technology in this article.
