Consideration for macroscopic typing of the gallbladder cancer from the view of ultrasonic image

Abstract

Gallbladder cancers consist of some kinds of lesions by different growing site and pattern. Ultrasound can visualize the lesion as the cross-sectional image. We have suggested a plan for typing of the gallbladder cancers by their ultrasonographic findings. (1) Protruded type: early gallbladder cancer (Ip, Is, IIa, IIb), early-like gallbladder cancer, papillary type. (2) Wall-thickened type: confined type, wide-spread type. Some problems about the ultrasonic diagnosis and macroscopic typing for gallbladder cancer were discussed.
