Abstract

Papilla of Vater, although small area, has most complicated structure in anatomy and histology. The some details of normal anatomy and characteristics of neoplasms corresponding to endoscopic and macroscopic findings is necessary for clinician. The difference between Intestinal type and Pancreatobiliary type of histological classification in Papilla of Vater is carcinogenesis in previous reports. Intestinal type may come from adenoma carcinoma sequence, pancreatobiliary type may come from de novo.
