LNG is a mixed hydrocarbon-based gas composed mainly of methane, but there is a difference in the boiling point of each component, and the component ratio varies greatly with the vaporization that results from heat input. Since existing gas monitors are designed for single components, such as methane, butane, or gases with a known component ratio, accurate measurements cannot be obtained if the component ratio changes. We have developed the world's first gas monitor that enables measurements even when the LNG component ratio changes over time utilizing optical interference ratio and heat conductivity to calculate the lower explosion limit concentration.
