Abstract

Recently, in Japan, the wire-rod manufacturing industry (its production, its demand, and its export) has made very rapid progress.
In Japan, this industry was started at first in the Yawata steel works in the year 1907, and then the Asano kokura seiko, the Kobe steel works and others also started this industry after. The annual production has been increased to 285, 000 tons in 1933 and last to 340, 000 tons in 1934.
The annual demand has been also increased from 50, 000 tons in 1915 to over 350, 000 tons in 1933.
On the other hand the annual import has been decreased from 50, 000 tons in 1915 to 25, 000 tons in 1933.
But the annual export has been increased from 2, 000 tons in 1915 to 50, 000 tons in 1933.
Thus the wire rod manufacturing in Japan has made very rapid progress and now it is sure that this industry in our country reached to the same level as the European one.
Because the production has been very much increased to over Japanese demand, so me must increase the export of the wire-rod manufactured goods.
Therefore the makers of wire-rod must make their best efforts for the good quality, to reduce manufacturing cost and to keep the best connections to the makers of finished articles from wire-rod and exporters.
