Abstract
Both the Mechanical Properties and the corrosion resistance of Mg-Mn alloys are improved with manganese content up to 2·5% Mn, the effects being however were remarkable on the corrosion resistance. Relating to the mechanical properties, the addition of Zinc up to 4% is more effective than by the addition of Manganese. The effects of quenching and tempering were also studied.
