Abstract

Following the 2nd. report, the author studied on the experiments with the two kinds of spring materials for parallel slide gate valve at high temperature and preseure.
The experiments were carried out the change of hardness by different heat treatments, and the measurements of forginability, microstructure, compreesion test at room and bigh temperature at about 500°C.
As the results of this investigation, it is ascertained that the high apeed steel containing C 0.71, W 13.93, Cr 5.99% was the good spring material similar to the high speed steel containing G 0.73, W 14.72, Cr 6.26, V 1% by proper heat treatment.
