Abstract
Following thermoradiotherapy, 3 tumors were examined using FDG-PET, which is useful for assessing the efficacy of cancer treatment, because it can provide information regarding glucose metabolism. All three tumors showed several degree of FDG uptake after completion of the thermoradiotherapy, with resulting poor local control. In case of no disappearance of target lesions, FDG-PET demonstrates an important role for the evaluation of treatment response.
