Studies on Corn Growth and Composition. VI. Grain weight per plant in relation to leaf area per plant and N and P % of leaves at silking time

Abstract

A high multiple correlation (R=0.95^**) between grain weight per plant (Y) and leaf area per plant (X₁) and both N (X₂) and P (X₃) % of leaf blades at silking was found. The multiple regression equation became, Y=18.8X₁+109,7X₂+7.5X₃-274.0.
