Abstract
Vibrations of a compressor used for domestic use air-conditioners are entirely determined by a mechanical structure of the compressor, which air transmitted to the enc10sure of the air-conditioner through insulators or pipes. Therefore the reduction of compressor vibration and the design of insulators and pipes are considered significant technical issues. In the present report, the vibrations of the scroll compressor were compared with those of various kinds of rotary compressors, thus confirming that the scroll compressor generates lower vibration than the others. Furthremore the vibration causes in the scroll compressor were carefully examined. Additionally, a method for further reduction of the scroll compressor vibration, a design of insulators and pipes, and a way of improving fatigue strength of the pipes were presented.
