Development of Speech-Recognition Watch

Abstract

As means for man-machine interface for watches, many methods have been considered and realized. Most of conventionally used means are push-buttons. However, as watches become multi-functioned, the input method more suitable for the function is required, We have developed and produced a multifunction watch which uses a speaker-dependent system and an isolated word-recognition system incorporating in speech-recognition LSI. The entire watch can be controlled by voice. In this article, this new watch is described.
