Abstract

On the influences of the residual magnetization of the stator and the rotor phase angle for the stability of the step motion and the efficiency of the step motor, an analytical study Was made by applying the simulation method with computer. The results obtained and the reason why they are caused are stated in this report. The results are summarized as follows: By the use of the stator material having a residual magnetization characteristic, the step motion is not only stabilized but the efficiency is also improved. The rotor phase angle influences mainly for the efficiency of the motor but less for the stability of the step motion.
