Those living within and beyond 5 km range from our hospital are statistically similar in age and HbA1c. The number of those aged 55 to 64 is increasing rapidly, while mean HbA1c of total patients decrease with age for both genders. Those visiting our outpatient clinic fewer than six times a year are 96.3% of total patients, and their mean HbA1c were less than 7%. Those in their 60s with stable diabetic control increased rapidly in number since 2007.
