9.LATEST FREEZE-DRYING PROCESSES IN EUROPE

Abstract

The main problem in freeze-drying process is to get preparations that may be heated with all desired qualities and to make optimum use of the plant in rendering the freeze-drying as efficient as possible. This makes necessary full automation of all operations. Measuring and regulating system which allow this automation are described in the example of laboratory plants, pharmaceutical production plants and freeze-drying plants for foodstuffs, which are widely used in Europe.
