Abstract

The biodistribution evaluation of cell therapy products is performed to clarify the distribution site and to predict efficacy and safety. The MEASURE multisite experiments confirmed the qPCR quantitation and the biodistribution of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSC) after intravenous (iv) administration to mice. The qPCR method using the cell-based calibration curve showed good results. The biodistribution of hMSC after iv administration to mice observed the similar tissue distribution profiles in all facilities, with the lungs showing the highest cell concentration among the examined tissues.
