Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the actual situation of the elderly who live alone from the viewpoint of the attachment to neighborhood environment. The main results are as follows. 1) The attachment to neighborhood environment tend to occur in parks, shines and streets near the houses of the elderly. 2) The elderly have attachment to the places in neighborhood that they used to visit being healthy and active. 3) The attachment to neighborhood environment tend to occur when the elderly enjoy with their friends and meet acquaintances living in neighborhood.
