Abstract
This study models, within the framework of phenomenological philosophy of science, the information structures that underlie the intellectual activities through which humans understand and discern objects in everyday life, namely the lifeworld. Knowledge is defined as beliefs formed on the basis of information previously acquired. The study demonstrates that human understanding and intuition are constituted through the interaction of three types of information: (1) primary information derived from perception, (2) existing knowledge, and (3) implicit presuppositions. Furthermore, by incorporating a temporal structure consisting of the present, past, and future into the model, the study clarifies the process by which incoming information is fixed as beliefs and becomes the foundation for prediction, control, and action in the lifeworld. The proposed model provides a practical, interdisciplinary framework applicable to social issues-such as education, risk perception, information literacy, and service design-where it is difficult to assume the existence of natural facts or objectively correct answers.
