Abstract

There are three ways to speed up the unwinding velocity of the cop. One, already referred to in the second and third instalments of this report, is to build a combination wind. Another is to use a balloon control bar which can speed up the unwinding velocity to 900∼1000m⁄min.
The third is to revolve the cop during the unwinding process. When it revolves freely, end breakage and the unwinding tension decrease slightly as compared with the fixed cop. When the cop is revolved positively, both the unwinding tension and end breakage decrease, and it is possible to unwind the yarn irrespective of the unwinding speed.
