Abstract

The simulation system is established for operation of a weaving mill. An operator's one round time, ratio of idle time, loom's waiting time for repair and ratio of downtime have been obtained by giving initial conditions to the system. Next, these items have analytically been solved by the formulation of a definite mathematical model. As above two results coincide with actual conditions in a mill, it is verified that the simulation system and the mathematical model approximate to the real state of a weaving mill. So the method to determine an optimal number of looms which can be attended by operators is proposed from a rate of weaving operation and a limit of one round time according to these data.
