Abstract

In recent years, clothing patterns are made by computer-systems. For using those systems, the operator must have keen sensitivity because to estimate the pattern-lengths from the fashion-drawings is needed. Those systems are only the one of tools for pattern-making, but not a useful thinking-machine. So, nonprofessionals feel difficulty when they use those systems.
We are developing new pattern-making system which makes clothing-patterns automatically only by inputting fashion-drawing, without estimating the pattern-length from the fashion-drawing by the operator. In the previous paper, we reported the new method of the automatic pattern-making system for flared skirts which are the examples of lower-garments.
We tried to apply the new method reported in previous paper to blouses as a typical upper-garment. As the result, we make it clear that using the multiple-regression-analysis to estimate the pattern-lengths from the fashion-drawing of any kind of blouses is practicable.
