Abstract

This paper aims to clarify the thermal comfort of cupro-mixed pantyhose . Field test on the wear feeling of cupro-mixed pantyhose were conducted, and the relationship between the wear feeling and physical properties of the pantyhose was considered.
The results obtained were summarized as follows.
1) The evaluation of the cupro-mixed pantyhose was higher and more significant in total comfort feeling, especially in items of “good tactile”, “easy to put on”, and “easy to stretch”, than the nylon pantyhose. The correlation coefficient between “not sticky with sweating” and “good tactile” took a positive and high value .
2) There were no difference in thermal sensation between the cupro-mixed pantyhose and the nylon pantyhose. But in the sweating simulation test, the total heat loss of cupro-mixed pantyhose was 2530% higher than that of nylon pantyhose. And the frictional coefficient of cupro-mixed pantyhose was lower under wet conditions. This lower frictional coefficient made sliding property between pantyhose and skin much better.
3) The cupro-mixed pantyhose got good evaluation in most items of wear feeling
