Fixed Channel of Multistage Turbopump

(2nd Report : Matching Diffuser Vane with Return Vane)

Abstract

The effects of the diffuser vane on the efficiency of the multistage turbopump were investigated experimentally, taking account of the interaction between the diffuser and the return vanes. It is very important to match the diffuser vane profile with the return vane, for improving the pump efficiency. The pump performance may be improved more and more by making the cross section of the passage from the diffuser vane outlet to the return vane inlet larger.
