In order to provide a theory that can be used at the initial design stage for the high-performance wind turbine, we suggest the prediction methodology for the broadband noise based on blade element momentum theory (BEM). When the trailing edge noise model was applied for the methodology, the predicted value could represent the measured broadband noise level generated from the actual wind turbine. The results of prediction indicated that the humped noise in the high frequency domain was generated by the Kármán Vortex shedding at the hub side of the rotor. The broadband noise in the high frequency domain of the wind turbine was induced by the relative velocity in the high speed domain at the tip side.
