The TOKYO model is a laboratory model and the TSUKUBA model is an air-borne model of GOSAT TANSO-FTS. The TOKYO model is devolved to demonstrate the application of the Fourier transform spectrometer to the satellite remote sensing of short wave spectral region and as well as the feasibility of the CO2 and CH4 column-density on the ground. The TSUKUBA model is manufactured for the air-borne experiment. This paper presents the objectives, design, and performance test results of these models.
