Abstract

Methods for using cattle manure was examined in rooftop gardening. Shoots of Sedum lineare, Sedum mexicanum and Sedum reflexum were planted on the compost. In twelve times during the growing season, the digital images of each species were taken above 1.5 m height and individual coverage was extracted by using image processing analysis. The results were as follows. Growth inhibition was not appeared even in the compost of 100% and the summer growth was sufficient. The growth on compost was lower than the growth on control soil in Sedum lineare and Sedum mexicanum.
