Abstract
1. Aqua-Gro, a soil permeation agent, promoted the downward movement of the applied retardants, such as EL 500, PP 333 and S 3307 in soil.
2. In the case of PP 333, the increase in the movement in soil was larger in the drier soil than in the wet soil.
3. In the model experiments on soil adsorption and desorption of the retardants, it was found that, in the case of EL 500, 0.1% Aqua-Gro decreased the adsorption to less than 90% and increased the desorption by more than 16%. With PP 333, 0.2% Aqua-Gro decreased the adsorption to less than 53% and increased the desorption by more han 29%.
4. Addition of Aqua-Gro (20 μl) to the EL 500 and the PP 333 solutions increased their water solubilities to 131% and 180 %, respectively.
