Abstract

The results obtained are as follows :
1) The fungus which caused Pythium blight of creeping bentgrass in winter was identified as P. vanterpoolii and recognized as a pathogen to cause a winter patch.
2) The fungus which caused Pythium blight in a hot season was identified as P. aristosporum. It is the first report for the pathogen of ryegrass.
