A MUSE Equalizer LSI System

Abstract

An adaptive equalizer for MUSE-HDTV receiver has been developed. It compensates signal distortion and echoes occurred in the transmission path. The equalization range is -0.9〜+1.9 μs, and the improvement ratio is greater than 20 dB. The whole system consists of a transversal filter LSI, a CPU, and a newly developed control LSI.
