Effects of Noise Parameters at Constant Power on Mean Opinion Scores of TV Picture Degradation

Abstract

The effects of the noise parameters such as r.m.s., duration, and occurrence frequency of burst Gaussian noise at constant power on TV picture degradation were studied by subjective evaluation. The mean opinion scores for the burst noise approached to those for the continuous Gaussian noise as increase of the occurrence frequency at constant burst duration.
