A Study of Motion Estimation Using a Visual Perception Model

Abstract

As a criterion of motion estimation, MMSE is often used. The authors considered that from the viewpoint of visual perception, the sole use of MMSE is not always optimal, and they therefore studied on motion estimation that used frames filtered by visual perception model. The results obtained encourage the use of the human vision filter.
