Temporal Emphasis for Video Tape Recorder

Abstract

A VCR with Temporal emphasis was tested experimentally. The frequency response of the emphasis was non-linear by the limiter circuit within the circuit loop. This circuit controlled signal amplification caused by the emphasis. An LPF (low pass filter), inserted just behind the limiter circuit, showed good results, improving transmission response of VCR.
