Construction of a satellite image database system featuring WWW

Abstract

Recent attention to global environmental changes has stimulated the development of large scale global information systems. Satellite images play a very important role in understanding these global changes. However, there is no suitable and available database system for them. This report describes system configurations featuring WWW and its contents. Mean frequency access per day is over 200 in April, 1996 and the total amount is over 40,000.
