A new visual discrimination task to analyze the timing of blinks is proposed. Some of previous work reported that blinks are likely to occur at the completion of information processing for visual stimuli. However the anticipation that blinks seem to be triggered simply by stimuli onset or offset can not be denied through conventional tasks. To separate these two factors, a dynamic presentation method is adopted in our task. As the results of psychological experiments, it is observed that blinks occur not only at the completion of visual stimuli processing, but also in association with only borth onset and offset of visual stimuli.
