Telemedicin by Information Network

Abstract

Multimedia technology will play an important role to promote the welfare of the people and build a healthy aging society. A tele-medical system using high speed digital line (B-ISDN) is experimented in Nagoya. The system enables us high speed data transfer of medical images and information and medical tele-conference. By the experiment we are investigating what tele-medical system should be in the 21th century.
