Technology trends on novel printing are introduced through a brief review of 12 presentations made at the 10th Nonimpact Printing Congress. Image quality of TonerJet is improved by an etched circuit aperture array. Two reports of laser-induced colorant transfer process are announced. One of them called Helios is practically employed in medical printing use. Three different types of color electrophotographic systems are introduced. Improvement of the addressability for magnetography is attained by using a high-density magnetographic head and a highly coercive magnetic media. New exposing device referred to as paraxial Imaging System and_new toner charging method are also introduced.
