The purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between creativity and aesthetics and to create an attitude scale that combines creativity and aesthetics in order to clarify creativity in art education. In this paper, we examined the validity of the attitude scale to consider how creativity and aesthetics were nurtured by junior high school students. For creativity in this study, we used the “mini-c” to provide our own feelings and perspectives on the experiences, actions, and activities of Beghetto and Kaufman. From the results of two surveys of 502 students in four junior high schools, three considerations were made. One is that this scale has some compatibility. Second, the ability to perceive aesthetic value correlates with the attitude of encouraging new feelings and perspectives in daily life. The third is that while there is a positive attitude toward acts that require one’s own initiative, there is reluctance to approach others and society. Regarding future development, it was found from surveys of people of various ages and cultures that it is necessary to identify a tendency of how to cultivate creativity and how to be involved in aesthetics.
