The purpose of this study is to confirm the behaviors exhibited by children that the care workers find challenging to deal with. Semi-structured interview was conducted with 11 young care workers working at children's homes. As a result, it was found that care workers find it challenging to respond properly to children's "behaviors inconsistent with emotions," which are particularly characteristic to abused children. It was also found that care workers tend to be a target of aggression of children who are "sensitive to power relations." The study showed that it is important for care workers to develop their caregiving skills so as not to be involved in power relations, while fostering cooperation and unity among care workers.
