Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to clarify the relationship between homeless people and traditional tourist city, through the
study of their housing conditions in Kyoto City.
The results are the followings: 1）The homeless in Kyoto City could be divided into eight groups according to their housing conditions. 2) In tourist city, the citizens have a high concern for the cityscape. And the activity that makes the city beautiful causes a decrease in homeless people. 3) There are few parks in traditional city, and homeless people tend to make their dwellings in river side and live in there for a long term.
