Abstract
We have developed a visual feedback algorithm of echogram for the ultrasound diagnosis robot, which have developed in our laboratory, to extract a feature in echogram based on image processing. First we detected a contact point between ribs on human body surface by using labeling methods. Then we determined the coordinate of mitral valve of heart by calculating brightness variation after judging the existence of posterior wall by optical flow method. Through experiment to normal volunteers, the robot accurately found echogram as expected. We are going to realize the automatic diagnosis of internal organs with robotics in the future.
